Overview
Already staying in Kintamani, Toya Bungkah, or one of the villages around Lake Batur? This tour is built for exactly that. You get the same licensed local guide and the same classic sunrise summit trek up Mount Batur, without paying for hotel pickup you do not need.
You will meet your English-speaking guide directly at the registration post in Toya Bungkah, a local of Kintamani who knows this mountain like the back of his hand. From there, you will climb the main summit trail in the dark before dawn, arriving in time to watch the sunrise over Lake Batur, Mount Agung, and, on a clear morning, all the way across to Mount Rinjani on Lombok.
After taking in the crater rim, you will descend back to Toya Bungkah with your guide. The licensed-guide requirement on Mount Batur applies to everyone climbing the mountain, no matter where you are staying, so this tour keeps your climb fully legitimate and safe while cutting out the logistics you do not actually need.

Cost: US $35.00 per person for solo travelers, US $30.00 per person for groups of 2 to 4, and US $25.00 per person for groups of 5 to 10. This package includes your licensed guide and trailhead registration. Because there is no hotel pickup, pricing already reflects the lower cost of meeting directly at the trailhead. This tour has no fixed minimum group size, since it is built for independent travelers already staying in the area; message us if you are unsure which group rate fits your booking.

We understand that accidents happen and injuries sometimes occur. That is why our guides are trained in first aid and rescue procedures. Should an accident occur, our guides will notify a mountain/river rescue team immediately if evacuation is required. We will also notify your next of kin and help you get the medical attention you need.
Our guides are experienced and knowledgeable, knowing the hazards and risks with each mountain and river as well as the limitations of some of our guests. For your safety we will always err on the side of caution.
