Like all our tours, we begin at your hotel at a time that is convenient for you. Please remember, the earlier you begin, the more you can see throughout the day. Our friendly English-speaking driver will pick you up in an air-conditioned van and take you wherever you want to go first.

Our drivers know traffic and crowds very well so they’ll make recommendations, but a typical tour may look like this:

After picking you up in our air conditioned van, you may be taken to Uluwatu Temple or Padang Padang Beach, one of Bali’s most spectacular beaches. Don’t worry, if the waves are big, they break outside of the reef and far from the shore. You’ll be able to enjoy watching surfers get barrelled in waves to your left. Padang Padang is called the Pipeline of Bali, but if you want to rent a board and try surfing yourself, there are usually very easy waves to the right – perfect for beginners.

At Uluwatu Temple, enjoy strolling the grounds and through the paths along the cliffs with some of the most spectacular ocean views in Bali. Watch out for the monkeys, they’ve been known to snatch purses, hats and cameras. They’ll hold them hostage and barter for a piece of fruit.

Later, your driver will take you to Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park (entrance fee is usually IDR 100,000). There you’ll walk the grounds and view some of the ancient artifacts and enormous statues dedicated to Hindu gods such as Visnu. There are many cultural performances throughout the day and you’ll end your visit with the captivating Kecak Dance with fire and story-telling.

Your tour will end with a  sunset dinner at Jimbaran Beach where you’ll enjoy some of the finest seafood Bali has to offer. Afterward, our driver will take you back to your hotel for the evening.

Cost:

US $50.00 per vehicle. Optional: US $25 extra for guided tour. Otherwise, our knowledgeable driver will answer any questions you have and will transfer you to each location where you’re free to explore on your own.

Entrance fees are not included with this tour. The fee for the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park depends on the season. During high season, the fee is IDR $100,000 per person.

Our vehicles can hold up to 1-5 people each and the price is the same regardless of the number of guests on the tour. If your group is larger than five people, we will need to use another vehicle, which will incur an additional charge. We appreciate your understanding.

Cancellations are always unfortunate, but late cancellations hurt our business because we cannot recoup lost revenue form tours we would otherwise have had. Therefore, we must charge 100% cancellation fee if you cancel the day of or the day before your trek. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Will we have time for shopping?

Yes. There are some curio shops along the way. For higher-end shopping, speak to your driver or guide about making arrangements.

Can I get a healing or Malukat?

No. The temples we are going to generally do not do healing ceremonies for tourists. Should you want a malukat or cleansing ceremony performed on you or anyone of your group, please make this request prior to your tour and we will attempt to arrange a session.

Please keep in mind that personal ceremonies are not a normal part of our tours and we cannot guarantee them. Let us know your thoughts and we will help you as much as we can.

Do we really need to hire a guide for this tour?

No. You can take this tour on your own, but our guides have many years of experience with these traditions and locations and will prove to be extremely helpful throughout your day.

Please keep in mind that your driver will help you in ways that a taxi driver will not. He will wait for you while you are strolling the grounds of temples and will advise you on proper customs.

Are children allowed on this tour?

Yes. Please keep in mind that many of the places you visit are old and a child can get hurt if not supervised. We will also be going to the beach so please be sure to supervise your child at all times.

Will there be a lot of other tourists?

Uluwatu is very popular, but our guides will do the best at getting to places during the least crowded times.

What’s the difference between hiring a guide and just using a driver?

Our drivers speak English and are very knowledgeable. They will always answer your questions as best they can, but once you arrive at each destination, the driver stays with the car and allows you to explore on your own.

If you choose to pay US $25 in addition to the tour fee, we will provide a guide that will accompany you at every stop and explain the cultural and historical significance of each location. They will be available to answer questions during your tour and will help you with photo opportunities and provide other assistance as needed.
